Androgenic 100 Anabolic 100 Estrogenic Tendency Moderate Progesterone Tendency Low Sustanon 250 is a testosterone blend containing four different esters: testosterone propionate (30mg), testosterone phenylpropionate (60mg), testosterone isocaproate (60mg) and testosterone decanoate (100mg). These contain the male androgen Testosterone along with the propionic , propionic phenyl ester, isocaproic, and decanoic acids. Sustanon is unique in that the esters involved release the testosterone at varying rates. Normally, injections are required about every 4 days at the appropriate dose for each injection to equal the total desired weekly dose. However, due to the long-acting nature of the some of the esters, it can be taken weekly as well. Sustanon 250 provides stable concentrations in the body for about 21 days after injection. Estrogenic Side Effects Testosterone is metabolized (aromatized) in the body by the aromatase enzyme into estrogen (estradiol). Elevated estrogen levels cause side effects such as water retention, fat gains, and gynecomastia. This phenomenon may require the use of an aromatase inhibitor such as Arimidex to stop the production of estrogen or anti-estrogens such as Clomid or Nolvadex to prevent or reduce these side effects. Also, it should be mentioned that that the level at which these side effects occur is generally dose dependent. In other words, the higher the doses the greater the chances of experiencing these effects. Further, the higher the doses, the more severe the side effects may become. Androgenic Side Effects Testosterone is the compound responsible for maintaining the secondary male sexual characteristics such as facial hair, oily skin, acne, ect. By introducing such high levels of testosterone into the body, these secondary male sexual characteristics can be greatly amplified. In addition, those users with a predisposition to hair loss, may experience this at an accelerated rate. Liver Toxicity Hepatotoxicity (liver toxicity) is not associated with the use of testosterone. Testosterone Suppression Any anabolic or androgenic steroid administered in doses required to promote muscle growth will suppress the body’s natural testosterone production. Thus, it is important to engage in a proper Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) after a cycle containing any form of testosterone. The PCT should include some sort of testosterone stimulating compound and be designed to return the user’s natural hormone levels to normal in as short amount of time as possible.
