Hi Guys and Gals

Ok straight down to business.

I'm 40 years old and weigh 154lbs i'm 5ft 11 ! i used to weigh 180 lbs before my spinal injury 6 years ago when i perforated 3 discs in my lower spine. I was presribed morphine back then to cope with the excruciating pain, the side effect was terrible sickness and total loss of appetite i dropped from 180 lbs to 110 lbs and ended up like a skeleton after 6 months of this, i thought the doctors would have put me on some type of steroid to maintain my weight but they didnt, i have since recovered to a thin 154lbs and cant seem to gain anymore weight, I remember bodybuilding when i was in my late 20's and it took me forever to "gain" , i'm a naturaly fit type and carry hardly any body fat at all, i still have a visible 6 pack totally untrained, i have a metabolism like a ferrari and burn food like my stomachs turbo charged so find putting weight on extremely difficult.

Ok My goals are to get to about 180 lbs and cut with it again like i used to be, and i want to do it FAST, i've had all the kids i want to have so no worries there, I was thinking along the lines of a 20mg a day dianabol or Test E 6week cycle. I'm currently training again and force feeding myself 200g of protein a day and putting down 2000 calories mainly with pasta, rice, tuna , salmon and chicken plus whey shakes in between. WOuld i beneifit from 1 cycle of a steroid ?

Thanks.

Honestly, NO. The reason being is your not feeding yourself nearly enough to gain weight, much less maintain any additional weight you might put on during cycle. You need to add AT LEAST 1000cals a day to your diet, if not more. You are taking in 200grams of protein which is good, but you need to be getting around 450grams of carbs as well as 100 grams of fat. Since you metabolism is so fast, you need to keep the cals coming in faster than you can burn them.
One thing to remember is that the body is an amazing machine and since you have been bigger before, you can get there once again. In fact, it will be much easier to get back to 180 for two factors. One, muscle memory. Your body has pathways already "burned" into the body that will allow it to reach a previous state with much less effort than achieving it prior. Second, at your age, even though your metabolism is still fast, it has slowed down since your 20's which means gaining will be MUCH easier this time around. Give it a few months with constant lifting and eating and you will get to where you need to be

No steroids are not for you yet. You need to eat much more. Steroids will not make you gaine weight unless you eat. Force feeding yourself 2,000 calories is extremely low and add working out to that, and I bet you drop weight again FAST! Plus 6 weeks of test would be a waste IMO especially since you will be shutdown before you begin to see it's effects.

If you are having to force feed yourself 2000 calories a day, perhaps you could try some GHRP-6 to increase your appetite.

Force feed and lift heavy before contemplating using AAS...

And read, read, read about training, nutrition and anabolics before deciding to give it a go.

As others have said, no, not yet. I understand impatience, but patience will pay off ten fold. Good luck.

get back to 175-180 before you think about using AAS. Then research about it until you understand anabolics. Then come back and read this post..you will know why we said no. If you use them now, with the stats and AAS knowledge you have demonstrated you will still be 160lbs.. good luck and welcome to the site. If you ever need help with training and dieting everyone is here to help.

Actually I may disagree with others because of your age!

Get blood work done and see where your test levels are if low I would take a low dose of test.

I wouldn't cycle or stack shit until you have put in enough time on the weights and get your diet right.

Your not going to be motivated to do shit if your levels are low but to bring them up to NORMAL will do the trick then after time with diet and training jump into the darkside.

My friend, you don't need to eat like a dieting bodybuilder. At 150 pounds with a blazing metabolism, you need calories. The last thing you need to worry about is how many grams of fat or calories you're eating. The only thing you should concern yourself with is why did you only eat one double cheeseburger when you should have eaten two!

You say you can't gain weight. I say EVERYBODY can gain weight. If you eat enough, you'll gain weight. If you eat 5000 cals a day and aren't gaining, eat 6000. If that doesn't work, eat 7. If you want to gain weight, eat until you gain weight. There is no such thing as "can't gain weight."

The key is to be consistent. Just like losing weight, to gain weight you have to eat a lot every day, not just when you're hungry. I have known lots of people who say they eat all the time yet can't gain weight. When I watch them over the course of a couple weeks, their diet averages out to fewer calories than I eat WHEN DIETING. Sure they eat a lot now and then, but then they'll go the rest of the day and eat nothing, or they'll eat a lot one day then hardly at all for the next three. Eating must become like a job - you have to do it every day even when you don't want to.

Good luck and hang in there. You'll get where you want to be. Nice having another old guy on board too! We gotta stick together!
