At TBC we have an ab program that produces amazing results. It is a little unconventional but when you investigate the science behind it you will understand why it produces results unlike anything else.

What was the effect of not doing abs? and how come you're doing them now?

All the abs in the world will do nothing if your diet is shit...we all have abs. You do them to build core strength and endurance plus they look good when your lean and theyre ripped

For me personally i find that just doing crunches and such is a good way to go, i was doing some weighted ab lifts and treating them like every other muscle and it just made my gut puff out too much. Keeping with your own body weight and just doing the normal crunches/oblique things work; like someone else said we all have abs....

Why did you post int he TBC thread though? I would def. hook up with Access and get more info on his program if your interested, i'm sure TBC will get you going in the right direction.

talked to access and he pointed me in right direction. i am gaining core strength and size, as in filling out. i take both diet and nutrition much more seriously as i get older and more domesticated - so to speak.

doing front and side situps. side and horizontal bridges. leg lifts for lower abs.
roughly EOD.

i need to more "bridges" and "supermens" for my posture...

For Upper abs i do weighted sit ups with weight lower on chest (decline)
For Middle Lower i do weighted sit ups with weight behind head (cecline)
For LOWER i do leg raises with chains and Leg Lifts (reg bench)

Then i also do Ab Roller and some side work...

i got this body by jake ab machine my girls dad must have jacked of a moving truck or some shit. i laughed and shrugged when he brought it over. i told him to throw it in the corner. one day i messed with it and its a damn good contraption. i still do em the old fashioned way but its nice to add to the collection, since i do it all at home.

First thing I learned is that you will NOT develop ab's that you can see unless you first get rid of the fat around your midsection by doing cardio. All you will accomplish is maybe building them UNDER the fat, making your waist appear even bigger. I only started working on my ab's after I had gotten down to a 31" waist and 12% body fat (currently at 30" and 7%) which I obtained by building up to an hour of cardio on an eliptical 4 x wk. Once you are down to at least a 32" waist (just my opinion) then this is when you can concentrate heavily on ab's. Getting nice ab's will take time, but I started out doing them 4 times a week and averaged about 400 from a variety of exercises. Weighted bicycle move is VERY effective, regular crunches & w/ legs raised both with and w/out weights. Leg Lifts, Weighted using pull down, weighted w/ pulley for obliques, Plank, plus a few others. Try not to just do the same ones over and over as it gets boring, mix it up for best results IMO. I'm really pleased with my ab's! I've got a nice 6 pack now and before this, I never had visible ab's EVER. I still maintain that same intensity and am actually increasing to build them even more. For me it came easy once I got my bf & waist size down. Good Luck!

Most a lot of people know, i think that for myself Principle#7 in that link has def. worked and i am noticing a flatter waist line by adding these exercises in everyday. Just my two cents.
