Anybody have any thoughts for a great cardio workout routine?? I lift about 5 days a week and cardio about 4 or 5 times a week... I'm doing cardio at 30 to 45 minute sessions, usually 15 minutes before i lift and 15-20 minutes after wards on the treadmill...

If you want the most out of it do it first thing in the a.m. before food or anything. Do 30mins. 5X/wk. and your gonna shit at the progress you make. It's hard to get used to but holy shit..... IT WORKS!!

Keep lifting and cardio separate for maximum result is good rule of thumb.

This is one of the best approaches you can take. This is along the same lines of deciding what you really want from your cycle as well. Keep your cardio seperate from your workouts. You spend your cardio time burning fat and getting the metabolism up, then the rest of the day fueling and prepping the muscles for their upcoming workout followed by replenishing the nutrients postworkout. This way the muscles dont have to sacrifice eating post workout as well as the cardio doesnt lose its effectiveness by having adding sugar circulating in the blood as well as having a suppressed CNS which can hinder fat mobilization

I also agree but with a little digression..if your really wanting to hit a lower bodyfat number and have stalled in your routine as outlined above try adding a little post workout cardio. Nothing excessive here, just 10-15 minutes of moderate intensive cardio after a workout but never on leg days.

IMO, you should try to get 1 shake right after cardio and 2 good meals between cardio and lifting. You are for sure gonna see progress doing it the way you are above but your lifting could suffer w/o a few meals under your belt. If your schedule doesn't allow this I understand, just my .02.

Keep us posted on results.
